A Free Mini-Games Arcade for Your Next Five-Minute Break

Most of what we publish here is about AI: tools, tutorials, courses. This post is about none of that. It’s about a games site.

We’ve been running a small side project called Play Grid, a free arcade of browser games at games.aistarted.com. No download, no app store, no login required to play — you open the link and you’re in. An account is only there if you want your high scores saved to a profile; it’s entirely optional.

Why a games site lives next to an AI tutorials site

Two reasons, honestly. First, building small playable things is a good way to stay sharp at building anything — a game either feels good in your hands within the first ten seconds or it doesn’t, and that kind of fast, honest feedback is rare. Second, we wanted somewhere to send people who’ve just read a dense tutorial and need three minutes of not thinking about anything.

What’s actually on it

Almost twenty games, spanning genres:

ARC POP — a bubble shooter where you can steer the shot mid-flight after firing. Sounds simple, gets addictive fast.
Tower Stack — one-tap timing. Drop blocks from a swinging crane; a bad drop slices your tower down to size.
Beacon Guard — a lighthouse-defense game with 100 levels, a dozen enemy types, and enough upgrade depth to lose an hour in.
Pet Corner — the cozy end of the spectrum: adopt pets, feed and bathe them, hatch rare coats. No pressure, no timer.
Voxel Valley — an open 3D block world that runs straight in the browser tab. Mine, explore, build.
Beat Cube — a rhythm game built on classical music remixes, ten levels, adjustable difficulty.
Star Forge, TIMEFOLD, and Iron Legion — for people who want more depth: bullet-heaven survival, a time-loop boss rush, and a pixel auto-battler campaign, respectively.
Twin Mirror — a puzzle-platformer where one jump moves two characters in two different worlds at once, and you have to find the timing where both survive.
Apex Drift and Grid Runner — a synthwave drift racer and a full 3D endless runner, both built to run smoothly on a phone.
GRID PRESS and its Chinese-language sibling — daily five-letter and four-character-idiom word puzzles, for the crowd that just wants a quiet daily streak.

All of it is free to play. Some games carry light, unobtrusive ads to keep the lights on; none of it is paywalled.

Worth mentioning

This isn’t a polished AAA catalog — it’s a fast-moving collection of small, self-contained games, each one built and shipped in days rather than months. A few are rough around the edges.
